PIC32 Low-Cost MCUs

Microchip’s feature-packed value family of 32-bit MCUs, PIC32MX1/2/5, offer up to 83 DMIPs performance with scalable memory options from 16 KB Flash / 4 KB RAM all the way up to 512 KB Flash / 64 KB RAM. This series boasts USB 2.0 with device, host, and OTG functionality, CAN2.0B, SPI / I²S, enhanced PMP, a 48 channel, 1 Msps ADC, and various serial interfaces. These devices come in low pin counts of 28, 36, and 44 with packages down to 5 x 5 mm for space constrained and compact designs and as well as larger pin counts of 64 and 100 to minimize the risk of I/O limitations and to support higher feature integration. This series provides compelling solutions for a wide range of applications including IoT (Internet of Things), Bluetooth, digital audio, touch, graphics, industrial connectivity / control, automotive infotainment, and fleet management.

In addition to their rich mix of integrated hardware peripheral features, these MCUs work in synergy with Microchip’s powerful MPLAB® Harmony software development framework, which simplifies the software development process by integrating the license, resale, and support of Microchip and third-party middleware, drivers, libraries, and real-time operating systems (RTOSs). Specifically, Microchip’s readily available software packages, such as Bluetooth audio development suites, Bluetooth serial port profile library, audio equalizer filter libraries, various decoders (including AAC, MP3, WMA, and SBC), sample-rate conversion libraries, CAN2.0B PLIBs, USB stacks, and graphics / mTouch libraries, rapidly reduce development time.
