Microchip MGC3030/MGC3130 3D Gesture Controllers | DigiKey Daily

Microchip offers the MGC3030 and MGC3130 3D gesture controllers based on their GestIC technology. Using an electric field similar to capacitive touch sensing, these gesture controllers keep the electrodes behind device housing, making enclosure design easier and more aesthetically pleasing. Optimized for embedded usage, they require no host intelligence and can communicate their detected gestures via I2C. These feature built in auto wake and sleep, less than 100 microamps power consumption when asleep, detection between zero and ten centimeters, and a 200 hertz report rate. With an included field upgradable gesture portfolio, these significantly shorten time to market while not sacrificing power.
