VPU AC US Series Surge Protection

Weidmüller Varitector PU (VPU) AC US series surge protection devices deliver maximum safety and reliability for energy supplies. Certified to UL 1449 and IEC/EN 61643-11 standards, they ensure compliance for global applications while meeting the toughest North American standards.
Designed for renewable energy systems, machinery, process industries, and building infrastructure, the VPU AC US series combines high performance with an outstanding price-to-performance ratio. Tailored to North American grid types and grounding systems, these devices guarantee high system availability and robust protection for critical AC applications.
The National Electrical Code (NEC) requires SPD installation on service entrances for dwelling units, dormitories, and similar spaces (Article 230.67) and also mandates surge protection for machinery safety circuits, fire pump controllers, emergency systems, and critical operation power systems. The VPU AC US line fully supports these NEC requirements, helping compliance and safeguarding installations.
