When using a ZNR®, a fuse or over current protection device, such as a circuit breaker, must be used to ensure safety and prevent serious accidents if the ZNR shorts out from an overload. Panasonic recommends the following when considering a fuse: use fuse ratings shown here; do not select too large a fuse rating to prevent accidents from non-blowout when a ZNR is broke; do not select too small a fuse rating because the fuse may blowout before the ZNR can work; and comply with UL/CSA regulations.
