The T62 series of products has a number of unique benefits, one of the primary of which is that it is silicone free and does not outgas. This makes it suitable for a number of applications, such as in optical devices, where silicone outgassing could be viewed as an issue. The high in-plane thermal conductivity aids in the spreading and evening out of hot spots resulting from uneven loading, surface distortion and uneven heat distribution on the die surface.
